Anomaly detection in Connected Sheets
Connected Sheets can now automatically detect anomalies and outliers in your time-series data from BigQuery. This capability uses BigQuery ML and TimesFM to provide immediate, AI-powered insights without requiring any model training or complex SQL.
This feature is available to all Google Workspace customers and users with personal Google accounts who work with BigQuery data in Google Sheets. Access requires appropriate permissions to a BigQuery project with billing enabled.
Within Connected Sheets, open the side panel to configure your anomaly detection analysis. You can set a specific time period and anomaly probability threshold. Results are displayed with new columns indicating if a data point is an anomaly, along with lower and upper bound intervals.
