Notebooks

NotebookLM allows you to create separate notebooks to organise research, projects, or client work. Each notebook acts as a distinct workspace where you can upload specific sources and interact with the AI to summarise information or generate content based on those materials.

This feature is available to most Workspace users as a core service, though limits vary by edition. Business Starter and Frontline users can create up to 200 notebooks, while higher-tier editions like Business Standard, Enterprise, and Gemini add-on users have a limit of 500.

To start a new project, open NotebookLM and click the plus icon to create a new notebook. You can then name your notebook and begin uploading sources such as PDFs, Google Docs, or website URLs.
