NotebookLM transforms uploaded sources into structured documents like briefing notes, study guides, and executive summaries. These reports synthesise information from multiple files, providing a clear overview or a deep dive into specific topics based on your research.

The feature is universal for NotebookLM users, with daily generation limits determined by your Workspace edition or Gemini add-on. Most professional tiers allow 100 reports per day, while AI Ultra Access increases this limit to 1,000.

To generate a report, open a notebook and select the Notebook Guide or Studio panel. Choose a format, such as a briefing doc or table of contents, and the AI will produce the document using your grounded sources.
