AI Function

Google Sheets AI functions allow you to generate, summarise, and categorise data directly within a spreadsheet. By using the =AI() or =Gemini() command, you can perform sentiment analysis, extract key takeaways, or create new text based on your data. The function can also pull real-time information from Google Search to provide up-to-date answers.

This feature is included in Business Standard, Business Plus, and Enterprise editions, as well as Google AI expansion add-ons. Usage is subject to monthly limits based on your Workspace tier, while Business Starter users do not have access.

To start, enter =AI("your prompt", A1:B10) into a cell. Select the cell and click Generate and Insert to produce the result. You can also add an AI column to a table to automatically fill rows with generated content.
