This feature is designed for development teams and is available in Standard and Enterprise editions. It is included with Gemini Enterprise Standard and Gemini Enterprise Plus subscriptions, with the Enterprise edition offering additional code customisation based on private repositories.

To start using the assistant, install the Gemini Code Assist extension in a supported IDE such as VS Code or Android Studio. Once configured for a Google Cloud project, you can receive code suggestions as you type or open the conversational assistant to ask questions about your codebase.
