Google Vids uses artificial intelligence to generate video drafts from text prompts and existing documents. It automatically produces a suggested outline, script, and voiceover, while populating scenes with relevant stock media or files from your Drive.

The feature is available across various Google Workspace editions, allowing users to create professional video content for internal communications or project recaps. It is designed for anyone needing to produce high-quality video quickly without specialised training.

To start, open Google Vids and select an aspect ratio. Enter a prompt in the "Help me create" box, optionally @-mentioning files for context, then click Create to generate your first draft.
