NotebookLM generates interactive mind maps that visually represent the key concepts and connections within your uploaded sources. These branching diagrams provide a high-level overview of complex information, helping you grasp the structure of your research at a glance.

This feature is available to all Workspace users, with daily generation limits varying by edition. Organisations using Business Standard, Enterprise, or Gemini add-ons benefit from higher usage quotas.

Open a notebook and upload your sources, then select the Mind Map chip from the suggested actions in the chat interface. The resulting map appears in the Studio panel, where you can zoom in on specific nodes or click them to ask follow-up questions.
