Generate background

Google Meet can generate unique background images using artificial intelligence based on text prompts you provide. This allows for highly personalised or creative environments during video calls, such as a magical forest or a professional office space.

The feature is available to users with an eligible Google Workspace or Google AI plan, including most Business and Enterprise editions. It is supported on both desktop and Android devices.

To create an image, click the 'Apply visual effects' icon before or during a call, then select 'Generate a background'. Enter a description of the image you want, click 'Create', and select your preferred result to apply it.
