Audio overviews for PDFs

Google Drive can generate conversational, podcast-style audio summaries of PDF files, allowing you to listen to the key points of a document instead of reading it. These overviews are saved as audio files in a dedicated folder in your My Drive.

This feature is available to users with eligible Google Workspace editions, including Business Standard, Business Plus, and Enterprise tiers, as well as those with Google AI expansion add-ons. Daily generation limits apply based on your specific plan.

To create an overview, open a PDF in Drive on the web and click the Create audio overview button at the top right. Once the generation is complete, you can play the audio from the side panel or access the file from the link sent to your email.
