NotebookLM allows you to ask questions and get summaries based on the documents you have uploaded to a notebook. The AI uses your specific sources to provide grounded answers, complete with citations that link back to the original text.

This feature is available to most Workspace users, though daily message limits vary by edition. Organisations with Business Standard, Enterprise, or Gemini add-ons receive higher daily quotas and enterprise-grade data protections.

To start a chat, open a notebook and select the sources you want to query. Type your question into the chat bar at the bottom of the screen to receive a response based on those documents.
