Enhanced Smart Fill

Google Sheets can automatically detect relationships between incomplete column pairs and use AI to predict the remaining values. This helps with manual text processing tasks like categorising feedback, organising articles by topic, or extracting phone numbers from text fields.

The feature is available to users with an eligible Google Workspace or Google AI plan. It currently supports English values and requires at least three example rows with two distinct column values to trigger suggestions.

To use it, start entering data into a text column. When a suggestion appears as an outline in the cells, hover over the icon to see the predicted values and click the suggestion bubble to accept them.
