Gemini CLI

Access Gemini's reasoning and coding capabilities directly from your terminal using this open-source AI agent. It handles complex developer tasks like fixing bugs, generating content, and performing deep research by interacting with local tools and remote servers.

Available for users with Gemini Code Assist Standard or Enterprise licences, as well as personal Google accounts. The tool is also built into Google Cloud Shell, providing immediate access to Gemini 2.5 Pro without any local installation.

To get started, open Cloud Shell or download the CLI to your local environment. Once installed, run the authentication command to link your Google account and start issuing prompts or automating workflows through your command line.
