Custom connectors allow organisations to integrate external data sources that are not part of the standard Gemini Enterprise library. This makes unique or proprietary data searchable and accessible using natural language, powered by Google's search intelligence.

This feature is designed for technical teams and developers using Gemini Enterprise Standard, Plus, or Frontline. It is not available on the Gemini Enterprise Business edition.

To set up a connector, you must first create an identity store and an entity data store within the Discovery Engine. You then use the Discovery Engine API to fetch, transform, and sync your external data into these stores.

How to use

Check Custom-built connectors against the relevant edition or add-on column.

Confirm whether the customer has the base Workspace SKU, an AI expansion add-on, or Gemini Enterprise.

Use the value in the matrix as the sales or enablement reference.
