Read Along in Google Classroom

Read Along is an AI-powered literacy tool within Google Classroom that offers real-time support to students as they read aloud, providing immediate feedback on pronunciation and word breakdown. It also includes 'Story creation with Gemini' to help educators generate differentiated reading activities.

This feature is available at no cost to all Google Workspace for Education users, including Education Fundamentals, Standard, and Plus, as well as those with Google AI Pro for Education, Teaching and Learning add-ons, Endpoint Education, and Nonprofits.

Educators can create interactive reading activities directly in Google Classroom. Admins can enable or disable Read Along in the Admin console at the domain or OU level, with group-level enablement also possible.
