Sheets canvas is a Gemini-powered capability that transforms your Google Sheets spreadsheets into custom, interactive, read-write applications. You can create dynamic visualisations and mini-apps like Kanban boards or dashboards directly within your spreadsheet using natural language prompts.

This feature is available to users on Workspace Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise Standard and Plus, Google AI Pro and Ultra, Google AI Pro for Education, and AI Expanded Access. It's designed for anyone needing to visualise and interact with spreadsheet data in a more dynamic, app-like format.

Ensure Workspace smart features are enabled. In Google Sheets, look for the Gemini icon in the side panel. Click it and describe the type of application or visualisation you want to create from your spreadsheet data.
